ENABLE has a range of opportunities to support the professional learning and well being of staff within the ENABLE network. They include:

  • ENABLE Staff Recognition Breakfast: There is compelling research evidence to suggest that teacher recognition is linked to improved performance and better student outcomes. ENABLE hosts four Recognition Breakfasts a year to recognise, honour and celebrate the outstanding work of staff members in our schools.
  • ENABLE Beginning Teachers Network: To support the development of our beginning teachers ENABLE holds 4 meetings a year for beginning teachers within our network. These meetings are run by a team of dedicated and passionate Deputy Principals who take on the role of mentoring and providing quality professional learning for all beginning teachers across our coalition.
  • ENABLE Professional Learning: Specific professional learning for all interested staff around key initiatives and agenda items. In 2014 ENABLE staff are participating in an SER 'Expanding the teaching of reading in high schools' pilot program as well as the Maths 3.0 Project.
  • ENABLE/QUT Masters: Selected School Leaders are undertaking a Masters of Education via scholarship through our partners QUT.
